Greetings!
Welcome to the Pooch Party edition of the Richmond Hill K9 Klub newsletter!
Pooch Party is back and the festivities begin at 10am this Sunday, June 24th. The schedule is packed this year and we recommend you attend on time so as not to miss the York Region Police Canine Unit do a meet & greet at centre stage!
Of course, admission and parking is FREE and well behaved dogs on leash are welcome!
A complete schedule is below and on the special Pooch Party Website. Highlights include three shows by the Who's Walking Who Woofjocks, two doggie fashion shows and ask the trainer sessions.
Although the weather is always uncertain, we have it covered this year! For the first time ever, the Pooch Party will be held inside the Sports Centre at Richmond Green park. Although it's an air conditioned facility, we'll have some outdoor fun and we are bringing back the very popular K9 Kool Zone in case the heat wave continues. Right beside this feature is our new temporary off-leash park sponsored by Pawsitive Transitions and Pooch's Corner. Linda Gardiner and her team will be on hand for some tips and tricks including identifying an overheated pooch and how to help them. Also in the back of the facility you will find people treats including M&M Meat Shops BBQ (Proceeds to the K9 Klub), an ice cream truck and the always yummy chip truck!
This year we are introducing Pooch Party Souvenir buttons! This cute button doubles as an entry to our prize draw. Be sure to bring a toonie (at least one) and pick up your button! Prizes will be drawn at the end of the show but no worries if you aren't present... winning numbers will be posted on the Pooch Party website! Prizes will be available for pickup at Pet Valu, Richmond Hill North. Just bring your button to collect!
Prizes include: Sony DCR-PJ5 Handycam with built -in projector, Nikon Coolpix L310 with case, 2 Daily Tickets to Canada's Wonderland, an hour long session with a registered Massage Therapist, admittance to Canine Prevention & First Aid Session, Private dog training session with a collar, leash and Brad Pattison's new Puppy Book, and a Canine Massage session.
Back again is our Passport Program! This year the reward for completion is a chance to win a Silver Detail package at Richmond Hill Honda... what dog owner can't use this? Goodies and giveaways will also be available from many of the attending vendors. Scroll down to see the sponsors that made this event possible as well as a listing of this years exhibitors. I suspect the 24th will be a quiet day at dog parks all over the region! See you at Pooch Party! __________________________________________________________________________ |
